accessing 7 Cups of Tea

Hi all,

So I wasn't sure where to post this, but I figured this was my best bet.

There is an online listening service called 7 Cups of Tea, where you can speak with trained listeners online. In my experience, anonymous online services like this can be extremely helpful. Not only would I be interested in trying it out myself, but I'd like to be able to recommend it to friends. As it stands, I'm having a lot of trouble accessing it on Internet Explorer with JAWS. When you click the connect button, it asks you to identify which group you are best suited to (over 18, under 18, etc.) and then agree to the terms, but I haven't been able to select a group or agree to the terms. If anyone could help me out with this, that would be awesome. It goes into application mode, and I don't know how to use JAWS in that mode at all.

The URL for the main page is: http://www.7cupsoftea.com/

Also, I'm curious to know what others think of this service if any have used it, and if there are any others people would suggest. I think we all could use unbiased, trained listeners once in awhile.

Thanks a bunch!

I'll see what I can do.
However love, nothing online is 100% anonymous .
My rule is if you don't want it known, don't say, post, or whatever, it online.

Okay easy.
You know you can sign in, meaning create a profile.
Next when you are on the site and you click on that connect with a listener and you must choose your age group, go all the way to the bottom of the page and you'll find the ckeck box. I use the end button to take me quickly to the bottom and arrow up to the check box I want, check it and go back to the button.
After you use your space bar to check the one you want, you can click the connect button.
Now if you need more help as to how to chat I can tell you that as well.
Let me know if I'vve not explained well enough.

Last, after taking a look, this site seems decent, but I felt I needed to tell you what I did in post 2.
I can see how this site will be extremely helpful for some people.
Good post.

Thank you so much. I'll try that out.

Totally agree. If you don't want it known, don't post it. Good rule of thumb. :)

Also, I know any service, online or otherwise, is only as helpful as the seeker wants it to be, but no one is going to solve all problems. I'm not looking for a miracle worker, just someone to chat with.

Let me know if it works for you. I'd like to hear.

Is the process of becoming a listener accessible? I explained the purpose of this site on an email list, and someone said that it isn't. I feel as though I provided false information, and I certainly didn't mean to.

I took a look. It appears to be accessible.
I don't want to be a listener so didn't finish the process, but it can be done.
If you have problems with this process, there is a contact them, and I'm sure if you qualify they will help you.
